Why don’t more woman of color wear bronzers? Most women of color don’t wear bronzer, because they feel they’re brown enough! However, bronzers unlock our inner beauty by providing a sun-kissed look that adds depth to your face by enhancing your skin tone so it doesn’t look flat. Bronzer also highlights your features. Here, Face2Face Africa shows you how to properly pick and apply bronzers to usher in a more glowing you!

Choosing the Perfect Bronzer
When choosing the right bronzer color, always pick a shade or two darker than your skin tone. Choose bronzers that are sheer (translucent) but not matte, because matte can make you look like you have dirty or ashy skin.
The trick to face bronzer is applying it the same way you apply blush.
Application: With a fluffy brush, swipe your cheekbones. Try smiling and then sweep in an upward motion from the apples of your cheekbones toward your temple.

Going out? Don’t be caught with that cute top or sexy dress without enhancing all your features — after all, it’s one of your most-feminine assets (yes, I’m talking about your breasts). Don’t be afraid to also put bronzer on your shoulders or neck.
Application: With a large brush, dust bronzer in the hollow between your twins, then sweep a bit over the tip of them — this creates visual depth and makes the round parts look fuller. Don’t forget to swipe your shoulders, neck, and down the arms. Once light hits your body, you’ll be glowing.

We’re about to hit the season where the sun will be upon us, and we want to make sure the sunlight spotlights our entire bodies. For those days you’re going out and showing some legs, grab a leg bronzer.
Application: Immediately after you get out of the shower and your skin is still damp, rub your legs with a bronzer leg stick or use a brush to provide full coverage.
