But while America offers much for its tourists, like every country around the world, it too has dark corners, blighted buildings, and bloodstained streets.
Just as we shared the most notorious cities and slums in Africa, below are those in America. The list is derived from the list of 100 dangerous cites in America complied by NeighborhoodScout, a data intelligence company that provides information on neighborhoods for real estate buyers.
The company ranks its dangerous cities by the number of violent crimes per 1,000 residents, where violent crimes include murder, rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. It takes from the FBI’s list of ‘Final, non-preliminary’ data, which is the most up-to-date and fully vetted crime data available.
