Defying limits, these deaf rappers are taking on the hip-hop industry

Is it possible to be deaf and be a musician? How does a deaf person compose a melody and stay on the beat? How do they even dance to music they can’t hear?

Some deaf hip-hop artists are making these happen against all the odds. Of course, they can’t sing, so they usually get someone to voice their raps while they communicate their lyrics through sign and sometimes speech.

Deaf artists are not able to listen to music in the same way as others so they often push the volume up loud so they could listen by feeling the bass vibrations in their bodies.

It’s not easy but the following deaf rappers have survived it and are bringing a revolution in the hip-hop industry by bridging the gap between the deaf and the hearing:
