From errand-runner to multi-business owner, meet 2024 Enterprising Woman of the Year Roslyn Ellerbee

Roslyn Ellerbee, the CEO and founder of Dream Team Digital Marketing, Manifesting Greatness with Roslyn V 360° Business Coaching, and Express Errands & Courier, has been named a 2024 Enterprising Woman of the Year Award recipient.

The award celebrates her outstanding accomplishments as the owner of three successful enterprises, as well as her dedication to uplifting others.

She said, “I am incredibly honored to receive the 2024 Enterprising Woman of the Year award. This recognition reflects not just my hard work and dedication but also the amazing team and support system that surrounds me.”

Ellerbee’s entrepreneurial adventure began in 2012. She told Canvas Rebel that her enthusiasm for business and creativity inspired her to launch her successful businesses.

A Jacksonville native, Ellerbee was merely a local college student when she started Express Errands & Courier. At the time, she believed her community needed assistance with errand running, particularly for visitors who were unfamiliar with the area. As a result, she started her business by just running errands alone.

Ellerbee later got a contract with a nearby nursing home to assist with prescription deliveries after a client reached out. She soon began collaborating with nearby realtors as well.

She told the Daily News “Since then, it blossomed into what it is. What I envisioned at the start is nowhere near where it’s at now.”

Her company has grown into a notable force in the logistics market, with locations in 11 states, including serving as Onslow Memorial Hospital’s assigned after-hours courier. Ellerbee revealed that they were very active during the COVID-19 pandemic, traveling from OMH to UNC-Chapel Hill and back again.

She relocated her company headquarters to Atlanta in 2019 in the hopes of expanding, but she continues to passionately serve her hometown of Jacksonville.

She told Canvas Rebel, “Beyond my businesses, I am honored to be recognized for leadership and vision, earning awards for contributions to business and entrepreneurship. Actively engaging with industry associations, such as the Customized Logistics and Delivery Association, I serve as an ambassador on the membership committee, highlighting my commitment to fostering growth within the business community.”

She recently graduated from the Executive Leadership Capstone Program of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) in collaboration with IBM, which, according to the entrepreneur, highlights her commitment to developing her leadership skills and remaining abreast of industry developments.

Ellerbee coaches early-stage businesses, helps at local shelters, and contributes to youth initiatives in addition to her commercial efforts.

Being the first African American female member of the Customized Logistics and Delivery Association (CLDA) Board of Directors, the trailblazer hopes to support the group’s objective of promoting diversity and progressive ideas in the logistics sector.

Nominated for Enterprising Women Magazine’s 2024 Enterprising Woman of the Year Award, Ellerbee will be recognized at the celebration and conference in April in Orlando, Florida.

She received the award in the category of businesses with $1 million in annual revenues and up to $2 million in annual revenues.
