Hump day snack ideas for movie nights you need to try

It’s Hump day and you may want to catch a movie on Netflix or Hulu this evening after work. Quarantine life makes us all want to stay at home instead of going to the theater to watch a movie. Now, what is a movie night without snacks?

Roll up in bed or couch with these mouth-watering homemade snacks that will keep you glued to your screens longer.

Trail mix popcorn

Do not have your microwave popcorn the way you are used to. Spice it up with peanuts, dried fruit, chocolate chips and any other interesting nibbles you can think of and indulge in your movie with bliss.

Steak nachos

Snack guilt-free with this healthy and light steak nacho recipe. The flavors are to die for and the crunch is just the right amount of crunch to get you through the night.

Lemon-pepper salmon jerky

Salmon jerky is perfect for a night in because it is a crunchy and crispy dehydrated version of your favorite salmon meat. This is not difficult to make. Just dry up the fish and drench them in spices for that oomph. This recipe uses lemon juice, sugar, soy sauce and other spices to make this incredible jerky which leaves you wanting more.

Crunchy popcorn chicken with spicy chipotle aioli

Everyone loves chicken, and crunchy chicken popcorn is a win for a movie night. These easy to make bites are made by coating your chicken lightly with bread and cooking them in an air fryer to make for a healthier option. A bonus is, they could easily pass as dinner as well.

Dark chocolate dipped bananas

Wondering what to do with your bananas and chocolate while binging on your favorite series? Dip your bananas in dark chocolate and voila! You can sprinkle some coconut shavings, almonds or any seeds and nuts of your choice as well with a dash of flaky salt and freeze them up on a stick.
