Legendary African-American musician and civil rights activist Nina Simone was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 14. The event, held at Cleveland’s Public Auditorium, saw an invigorating performance of some of her medleys by multi-platinum award-winning musician Lauryn Hill.
Alongside Andra Day and backed by The Roots band, they performed touching Nina Simone renditions including “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free,” “I Put a Spell on You,” “Feeling Good”, among others.
