Jocelyn Bioh
Jocelyn Bioh fell in love with theatre as a child. “I started to develop my craft as a storyteller as a child playing with dolls. No lie. Even as a kid storytelling felt as essential as breathing.” Although Bioh now has a slew of awards under her belt, her foray into writing was more by necessity than choice.
Bioh, a Ghanaian-American playwright and actor made her Broadway debut in “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.”
Her play “School Girls; the African Mean Girls Play” was on off-Broadway hit and won the 2018 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play.
