Michael Jordan could be best man at son’s wedding to Larsa Pippen, ex-wife of his former teammate

NBA legend Michael Jordan may have made it clear he’s not in favor of his son Marcus dating Larsa Pippen, 49, but it appears the 32-year-old wants his father to be his right-hand man at his wedding to the Real Housewives of Miami star.

Per TODAY.com, the couple touched on their possible wedding plans during an appearance on the Pablo Torre Finds Out podcast, with Marcus saying he wants his father and the six-time NBA champion to continue a family tradition of being the best man at his wedding.

“I was the best man at his wedding and the best man at my brother’s wedding, and so obviously, we’ll keep that tradition going is my thoughts on it,” Marcus responded when he was asked if his father would deliver a speech at their wedding.

Elsewhere in the interview, Marcus also spoke about his desire to host multiple weddings. “We’re very private people, the Jordans, and so if it was up to me, I think we would do maybe multiple weddings: one private for our family and friends and then maybe there’s one that’s a little more public,” the 32-year-old said. “But you know, I guess time will tell.”

Larsa is also part of the Real Housewives of Miami cast, and Marcus said producers of the show have already started asking if they’ll eventually tie the knot and whether they would be open to having their union aired on television.

“That’s another thing that we’re kind of playing along, whether or not it will air,” said Marcus.

As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, Jordan publicly disapproved of his son’s relationship with Larsa some months ago. At the time, Jordan, 60, was asked about his son’s girlfriend as he was entering a car after having dinner in Paris, per TMZ. In the video, a photographer is heard asking the former Chicago Bulls player if he approves of his son’s relationship with the Real Housewives of Miami star. Jordan initially laughs in response to the question before saying “No!” after the question is repeated.

The NBA Hall of Famer and businessman also appeared to shake his head after he was asked the same question the third time. The news of Marcus and Larsa dating made headlines when it was reported particularly because the 49-year-old is the ex-wife of Michael Jordan’s former Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen.

Although Jordan and Pippen won multiple championships for the basketball franchise, their relationship appears to have gone downhill after Pippen registered his displeasure over how he was portrayed in Jordan’s The Last Dance Netflix-ESPN documentary. He also criticized Jordan in his Unguarded memoir.
