‘My kidneys were doing terrible’ – Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori provides health update after stroke

Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, has disclosed that her kidneys were in poor condition after she experienced a severe stroke. The daughter of the legendary rapper took to her Instagram stories on Sunday to provide an update on her health condition.

Despite the health challenges, she shared optimistic selfies with faith that God is in charge of her healing process, according to Daily Mail.

“My kidneys were doing terrible…doctors came in this AM and said they are improving so much.”

Broadus posted a photo with her niece and nephew Kai Love and Elleven Love. She also shared an encouraging post from her friend Daniela Emery: “Chose you to be Dakotas Godmommy for a reason. You’re so strong & beautiful inside & out. We love you bookie [heart hands white heart emojis] @princessbroadus.”

Broadus replied to the warm words by saying: “two tears welling in eyes emojis] I love yall sooo much more!!! [brown heart emoji]”

She disclosed on her Instagram stories on Thursday morning that she experienced a severe stroke. She recounted that she broke down when they broke the news to her.

She shared a photo of herself in a pink hoodie and a surgical mask. “Like I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this,” she added.

Broadus has been battling with Lupus, a chronic autoimmune condition, for some time now. Lupus is a condition where the body makes antibodies against itself and starts to attack it. Some sufferers will have only mild problems while others have life-threatening organ damage to the heart and the kidneys.

Discussing her journey with Lupus recently, the daughter of the rapper turned mogul said her situation improved after adopting a natural approach, including herbs, sea moss, teas, and lifestyle changes like regular exercise and increased water intake. She added that she stopped medication five months ago and believes her body is adapting well to the new regime.

Broadus said she was compelled to alter her lifestyle due to the challenges of following a consistent medication routine for lupus. She said adhering to the same routine medication sometimes made her feel depressed.

She claimed she was optimistic she could witness significant improvement, but, she is open about the fact that it’s a learning process.

“If I can do a whole 360 change and just get healthy all around, I think I would be so good,’ she added. ‘But I tell people all the time, it’s a day-by-day process. Things are going to take time. Nothing is going to happen overnight.”
