Never-before-seen mugshots of Tupac, Biggie including last show footage could sell for millions at auction

Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. may be deceased, but their collectibles continue to rake in millions. Per TMZ, two never-before-seen mugshots of the legendary rappers will be auctioned off by GottaHaveRockandRoll from October 25 to November 10.

Besides the mugshots, a video of Notorious B.I.G.’s performance at the Sting festival in Kingston, Jamaica on December 26, 1996, will also be auctioned. The rapper’s appearance at the festival was his last concert as he was shot and killed on March 9, 1997. The Hypnotize rapper graced the stage in a wheelchair after he got involved in a car accident. 

GHRock also confirmed the video in question is original and unreleased, adding that the winning bidder will obtain full copyright. Additionally, the winning bidder will also receive a copy of the agreement Notorious B.I.G. signed with Sting to perform at the festival, TMZ reported. 

Biggie, whose real name is Christopher Wallace, was born to Jamaican parents in Brooklyn. Sting promoter Isaiah Laing said the 24-year-old enjoyed his stay at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel during his visit and also requested “the good ganja weed” when he touched down.

GHRock said the performance video is estimated to be auctioned off between $1 million and $2 million while the mugshots will also fetch a humongous sum. The mugshot of Tupac is unreleased and estimated to fetch between $20,000 and $40,000. The mugshot of Notorious B.I.G. will also be sold at a similar amount. It also has a thank you note that he signed.

The auctioning of the collectibles comes after Las Vegas police recently arrested Duane “Keefe D” Davis in connection with the shooting death of Tupac after nearly three decades. Davis’ arrest came on the heels of a police raid on his wife’s Henderson residence during which authorities sought evidence related to Shakur’s killing, according to CBS News. 

The police seized various items during the raid, including multiple computers, a cellphone, a hard drive, a Vibe magazine featuring Shakur, 40-caliber bullets, photograph-filled containers, and a copy of Davis’ 2019 memoir.

Davis has since been indicted on a charge of murder with the use of a deadly weapon. Following his arrest,  Las Vegas police homicide Lt. Jason Johansson said Davis was the “shot caller for this group of individuals that committed this crime,” adding that the suspect “orchestrated the plan that was carried out.”
