Nigerian superstar and self-proclaimed “African Giant” Burna Boy is having a very sensational 2019 and rightfully so.
Riding off the back of his critically acclaimed 2018 “Outside” album, the Dangote crooner has literally been all over the place – for the all the right reasons though. One of the highlights of his unforgettable 2019 was in April when he performed at one of the biggest and heavily attended music festivals in the world, Coachella. He also deservedly took home the Best International Act at this year’s BET Awards.
With other several global performances, appearances as well as features to his name, the talented musician further took it up a notch with a feature on the movie album for Disney’s The Lion King. Produced by Beyoncé and titled “The Lion King: The Gift“, Burna Boy claimed the bragging rights as the only artist besides Beyoncé to have a solo song (Ja Ara E) on the album.
With his upcoming album, “African Giant” set to be released on Friday, Burna Boy is putting in extra work on his promotional run. On Tuesday night, Jimmy Kimmel Live had the pleasure of hosting him and as expected, he finessed his set with his silky-smooth voice when he took to the stage to perform his single “Anybody.”
