Plants you can grow at home during self-isolation

Many families are having to look for hobbies they can do together while staying at home and social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Some have tried reading together, binging on movies and series and baking. There are some families who love to decorate their rooms with plants, well this is the perfect time to engage the whole family and get to it.

There are some indoor plants that need extra attention to thrive and there are others that are simply hard to kill even for the most negligent owners. The excuse was that many of us had busy schedules and would forget to nurture these green beauties, but now we have so much time as most of us are stuck indoors.

Here are a few plants recommended by Author Emma Sibley in her 2018 book, The Little Book of House Plants and Other Greenery that would absolutely beautify your room and are not high maintenance. Some just need a bit more sunlight, and little water and you are good to go. To make it more fun, you can create a rota at home, so everyone gets their turn attending to the plants.
