Police searching for two NFL players accused of robbing partygoers at gunpoint

Police in South Florida have issued arrest warrants for two NFL players for armed robbery during a party that involved gambling in Broward County. DeAndre Baker, a cornerback for the New York Giants, and Quinton Dunbar, a cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks, are both wanted after several witnesses accused them of being involved in the robbery at a house party on Wednesday night.

Baker is wanted for four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. Dunbar is wanted for four counts of Armed Robbery with a firearm, according to Miramar police.

The police said 22-year-old Baker and Dunbar, 27, were at the party when a fight broke out. Baker pulled out a handgun and Dunbar and two others started stealing from the victims, according to detectives.

Baker and Dunbar are accused of taking about $10,000 in cash from the victims as well as three luxury watches: $17,500 Audemars Piguet, an $18,000 Rolex, and a $25,000 Hublot, Local 10 News reported.

Police said the group then fled the house party in three vehicles: A Mercedes Benz, a Lamborghini and a BMW. According to witnesses, the cars were parked in a way that made it easy for the group to get away from the scene quickly.

Baker was one of three first-round draft picks the Giants had last season. In a statement, the Giants said: “We are aware of the situation. We have been in contact with DeAndre.”

“We have no further comment at this time.”

Dunbar was traded to the Seahawks from the Washington Redskins in March.

“We are aware of the situation involving Quinton Dunbar and still gathering information,” the Seahawks said in a statement. “We will defer all further comment to league investigators and local authorities.”
