There might not have been as many cartoons or animated movies in the early part of the past century as much as there are today but one thing that run through a lot of those from the past was that they were racially problematic.
Several of those cartoons as a whole, or episodes of them, have been taken off the air for reasons of racial discrimination and segregation. Although not authoritative, many of these cartoons have been linked to the Warner Brothers.
