Statuesque Events Partners With African Organizations To Produce The Charity Event, The Afripreneurs of Tomorrow Scholarship Ball this September

New York, NY August 2nd, 2011  — Statuesque Events by Feyisola,(pronounced Stat-choo-esk E-vents by Fe-yi-sho-la) an event planning and décor company based in the metro NY area introduces a signature charity event, The Afripreneurs of Tomorrow Scholarship Ball in New York, NY early this fall. 


 

320 Studios, a chic midtown loft located in the heart of New York will bring together a host of African performers, professionals and community leaders at the Afripreneurs of Tomorrow Scholarship Ball on Friday, September 30th, 2011.

Media partners include FAB Magazine, Face2Face Africa Magazine, Under Da Rock, The New Ghanian Newspaper, The Y Network, Sunlight Radio and Alore Media.

Sponsors include Go Forward Realty, iTake Photos est 1985, Memi Online and Atlantic Concierge.

MacDella Cooper, founder of the MacDella Cooper foundation will give the keynote at this event. Brave Boi Music Group will also render their soulful sounds and DJ Yoossouph is sure to keep the crowd going throughout the night. This is a classy black tie affair which isn’t to be missed!

The proceeds of ticket sales, raffles and donations will be used to fund two scholarships to be awarded that evening. The young recipients will be chosen based on their involvement in their communities and their essay response on their plans make a positive impact on the African Diaspora through entrepreneurship. Scholarship applications are open to high school and college students until Friday, September 9th at www.statuesqueevents.com/afripreneurs-of-tomorrow.html.

Feyisola Ogunfemi, the founder of Statuesque Events and the Afripreneurs of Tomorrow program, launched this program as a continuation of a successful scholarship program that she hosted in 2010 while she served as Miss Nigerian Independence. “Event planning, community service and education have always been 3 things that I’ve held close to my heart,” Ogunfemi says. “It’s just amazing and exciting that we’re able to incorporate all three of my passions and touch someone else through this initiative.”

Discounted early bird ticket sales starting at $45 continue through Saturday, September 3rd at www.statuesqueevents.com/afripreneurs-of-tomorrow.html. After this, advance ticket prices starting at $65 take effect online and continue through Monday, September 26th.
