Morocco
Many are already flocking to the North African nation because of scenic views, rich spices, and magnetic people and local culture in cities like Marrakech. But perhaps its Wakandan-eque transportation ambitions will be further impetus to visit.
Morocco is on track to develop the sophisticated magnetic-levitation train network of Wakanda, at least for Africa today, with the launch of its latest rail system this summer.
Africa’s fastest train was tested last year and is capable of reaching 200mph – the top speed of the Eurostar. It will slash the travel times between the country’s key economic hubs by almost two-thirds so that a 215-mile journey from Casablanca to Tangier via the capital city of Rabat will take just over two hours, rather than five.
