“You ain’t black” – Three reasons why Joe Biden knows his recent gaffe on race won’t hurt him

A better man than Donald Trump

The moral leadership expected of the presidency has taken a public relations hit in these times when Donald Trump is president. All over the world, there seems to be a concrete consensus that the reality TV host turned politician does not check many boxes in the conversation on role models.

Whether we like it or not, Trump has set the bar on public morality and it is not that high. To date, he has become the embodiment of how wrong Americans can get it and bad things can get, post-Jim Crow.

The choice between Biden and Trump is therefore necessarily a moral question where people who identify as well-meaning would be asked which person is right for the public’s sense of right and wrong. And the choice does not seem like a difficult one.

Joe Biden and his handlers know this.
