Addax
The beautiful addax, also known as the white antelope, is well-adapted to exist in the desert habitat because it can live without water for long periods of time. The IUCN classifies the addax as critically endangered, with less than 300 remaining in the wild. The addax is native to the areas around the Sahara Desert, but the combination of drought, relentless hunting, and global warming threatens the future of this beautiful animal.
