Africa is a wonderful continent with many distinctly unique cultural traditions. Each of these traditions symbolizes a specific aspect of life in a given community. But while many of these cultures represent the grandeur and richness of Africa, some are dangerous and retrogressive, and should, therefore, be let go.

I disagree with the last item - traditional healing. In the West its called complementary alternative medicine and it is well regarded or at least respected. Not everyone wants to co-sign with western medicine which has it's own problems.....
Agreed, there are pros and cons.
In South Africa they are trying to register traditional healers.
