Lydia Nsekera 

She was the president of the Burundi Football Federation from 2004 until 2013, making her the first Burundian woman to hold this position. She helped organize the soccer tournaments at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.

Later, in 2013, Nsekera became the first woman to be elected to the FIFA Executive Committee, a position she still holds.

She had before this, sat on an independent governance committee to deal with corruption within the organization. Since 2009, Nsekera has also held a seat on the International Olympic Committee.

Forbes recently ranked the 51-year-old as second behind the FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura in the world of sports.
