Embassy of Ghana partners with Blackstar Agency to celebrate Independence Day online

While the world continues to experience unprecedented hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ghanaians will still commemorate March 6th, one of the most important dates in the nation’s history.

On this day, Ghana became the first African nation to seize its independence from colonial rule. Although the country has experienced a year of difficult social restrictions due to the virus, the setback isn’t formidable enough to stop Ghanaians from celebrating this momentous occasion. This year, the Ghana Embassy (Washington DC) is partnering with Blackstar Agency, and other Ghanaian organizations, to host a series of virtual events from Friday, March 5th (5 pm EST) to Sunday, March 7th (7 pm EST).

Take a look at the event details below:

Day 1: Virtual Reception & Ghana Diaspora Town Hall With Embassy of Ghana (Friday March 5th, 5PM EST)

Discussion topics will include:

Current State of Affairs In Ghana, Trade & Investments, Tourism, Beyond The Return, Unlocking Opportunities Through Diaspora Partnerships, etc
