NBA legend Kobe Bryant died on Sunday from a helicopter crash near Calabasas in Los Angeles.
His 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria-Onore also died in the crash along with seven others.
Gianna and Kobe were enroute to the Mamba Sports Academy to rehearse for the tournament for young players which was set to start on Sunday.
Gianna is the second of Kobe and Vanessa’s four daughters and was following in her father’s footsteps as a rising basketball star herself.
She played for the Los Angeles Lady Mamba girls basketball team, but her dream was to play on the University of Connecticut Huskies women’s basketball team someday.
Here are some things you probably didn’t know about Gianna.
