The tributes continue to come through in their millions for former NBA star Kobe Bryant who was killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday morning in Calabasas, California.
Bryant was flying along with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, John Altobelli, head baseball coach at Orange Coast College who was also with his wife Keri and daughter Alyssa.
The families were said to have been traveling to basketball practice at Bryant’s Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks.
The LA Times is reporting that in all, nine people died in the crash. Investigations continue to ascertain what led to the tragic deaths.
Bryant was one of those larger-than-life personalities who transcended the perimeters of the basketball court.
In a career that spanned two decades, Bryant’s face became synonymous with the LA Lakers, where he won five Championship titles playing with the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and Steve Nash.
