Ghanaian photographer, poet and blogger Nana Ansah is a self-proclaimed male feminist determined to change the narrative on African women from victims to heroes. During his travels across Africa, he chronicles the inspiring women he meets and captures them at their best and at their most vulnerable states.
During a recent interview with BBC for its 100 Women Series, he goes into details about his work and explains how the women influenced him.
“For me, feminism is when we can create a world where a woman has the same rights as a man. I believe my daughter has the same rights as my sons,” the photographer said.”

Oh I loved reading about these women, my sisters. It is God who has carried them through the storms in life and it is God, not men, who will continue to strengthen their spirits to be the queens of God. Tis so sad that men are taught to view women as their greatest competitors instead of their helpmates.
