Guinness Live It Up is an event series featuring the arts, music, food and culture of West Indian and West African people. Guinness has put together a series of events in several cities across the United States, including New York, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Houston and Miami , which highlights the work of West Indian and West African visual artists, performers, DJs, and designers.
In addition to throwing great parties, Guinness Live It Up! has a philanthropic purpose as well. Guinness Live It Up! has partnered with Career Gear, a not for profit organization that provides professional clothing, mentoring and life skills to assist men in poverty to become stronger contributors to their families and their communities.
This year’s fundraiser is the Bottle Cap initiative, through which every bottle cap collected from a Guinness beer ordered at select locations equals a dollar donated to Career gear from Guinness Live It Up! – up to $50,000!
Guinness Live It Up! will be hitting Miami, Florida on October 11th at the Bakehouse Art Complex. The event is free to the public if you RSVP at guestcode.com, with the code 2162.
We’d suggest you hurry, because it was standing room only in Bushwick, so the guest list fills up fast!
If you can’t make one of their upcoming events, you can always check out what’s happening at GuinnessLiveItUp.com, which has highlights of the events and information about the artists and performers at their events.
