Jewish Heart for Africa to Host its Annual Gala this Saturday, November 5th.

Jewish Heart for Africa invites you to join us and cover our Annual Gala on Saturday, November 5th, for a cocktail reception featuring a live African dance performance, African bazaar, hors d’oeuvres, an open bar and an opportunity to win a free trip to Malawi (watch the video here: http://www.jhasol.org/gala2011/gala2011/malawi_video.html).

All proceeds from the event will support Jewish Heart for Africa's work bringing sustainable Israeli technologies to African villages. In less than 4 years, Jewish Heart for Africa has used Israeli solar technology to power 44 schools, medical clinics, orphanages and water pumping systems in Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and Ethiopia, improving the lives of over 150,000 African people.

In attendance at the event will be several current and former African ambassadors including official representatives from Zambia, Malawi and Uganda. We will also have representatives from the Israeli Consulate in NYC.

At the event, we will be announcing that by the end of this coming November, with the completion of our first ever Eco Village Project in Malawi, we will have impacted over 200,000 African people in less than four years. Watch the following two minute video to learn more about our work: http://www.jhafrica.org/minute.

A limited number of press passes will be available. To request media passed, please email rachel@jhafrica.org.
