Rapper Kanye West has claimed that slavery was a choice.
The rapper, who has been spewing his ‘free-thoughts’ on social media, was speaking at the TMZ offices when he made the claims.
“When you hear about slavery for 400 years … For 400 years? That sounds like a choice.”
He not only went ahead to profess his love for President Donald Trump but insisted that the blacks and whites are one human race.
His comments were met with disappointment and even one of the employees at TMZ called him out for perpetuating the thoughts that would hurt people who do not access the same privileges Kanye has as an artist.
The ‘slavery was a choice’ comment has already sparked reactions on Twitter with the hashtag #IfSlaveryWasAChoice.
