This week, U.S. President Barack Obama will finally be traveling to his father’s homeland of Kenya. And while there are a number celebrations ahead, the Republican Liberty Party has announced that they will be protesting his gay rights stance with 5,000 naked ralliers, reports the Nairobi Times.

At the end of June, history was made in the United States, after Supreme Court Justices voted in favor of same-sex marriage. President Obama vociferously praised the ruling.
As Face2Face Africa previously reported:
After Supreme Court Justices voted 5 to 4 in favor of same-sex marriage in the Obergefell v. Hodges case, President Obama likened the ruling to “a thunderbolt,” concluding that the legalization of same-sex marriage in the United States “will strengthen all of our communities” and is ultimately a “victory for America.”
But President Obama’s stance has ruffled quite a few feathers on the continent, where homosexuality is generally frowned upon.
Days later, Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe would mock President Obama, saying, “Since President Obama endorses the same-sex marriage, advocates homosexual people, and enjoys an attractive countenance — thus if it becomes necessary, I shall travel to Washington, D.C., get down on my knee, and ask his hand.”
More seriously, though, many have wondered whether the United States’ stance on gay rights will be forced on a number of African countries, where homosexuality is illegal.
This has prompted the Republican Liberty Party to announce that they will greet the U.S. President with 5,000 “totally naked” protestors on Wednesday and Thursday.
“[The Republican Liberty Party] will gather “approximately 5,000 totally naked men and women to protest over Obama’s open and aggressive support for homosexuality,” wrote party leader Kidala Vincent.
“The party’s main objective is for him to see and understand the [difference] between a man and woman.”
