Meet Africa’s basketball stars playing in major leagues in the world

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has remained the most exciting and undoubtedly the biggest professional basketball league amplified colorfully with a mix of agents, coaches, managers, and players from different countries, races, and faith.

It has produced great Black stars, including Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and many others. Africa has a deep history and legacy in the NBA, and has contributed to the success and sustenance of the league for years. Dikembe Mutombo, Manute Bol, Hakeem Olajuwon, Luol Deng, Luc Mbah Moute, and Didier Ilunga-Mbenga are some of the great basketball legends from Africa.

Highlighting their efforts and success, here are ten African basketball players who are thriving in their professional careers in the USA and Europe while representing their home countries.
