Tom Makale
The Kenyan businessman is the owner of Unique Loo Limited, a company that provides and maintains mobile toilets for social gatherings, government functions, seminars, among other events.
For almost 20 years now, Makale has been running these city toilets and has made tremendous profits, out of which he has been able to educate his three children in what he calls prestigious universities abroad – University of Bedfordshire and University of Birmingham.
“All this is money from the toilets,” Makale, who has employed over 60 people said in a recent interview. Though he faces competition from other toilet businesses in the capital, Nairobi, Makale’s company has been able to succeed and continues to provide portable toilets that have the latest technologies and modern sanitation equipment.
