Meet the African entrepreneurs creating successful businesses “out of toilets”

Africa’s new generation of entrepreneurs is making money and touching the lives of people positively. What they do is to focus on problems facing the continent and find amicable solutions to them and one of these is the sanitation crisis currently gripping the continent.

As people globally celebrate World Toilet Day to inspire action to tackle the global sanitation crisis by 2030, it is significant to note that today, only 68 per cent of the world’s population has access to basic sanitation and only 39 per cent benefits from safely managed sanitation.

Diseases from poor sanitation are now killing more children globally with diarrhoea being the single biggest killer of children in Africa.
