Miss United States 2010, Easter Seals North Georgia and 40 Girls & Some Shoes Take Center Stage at the WILDE, LLC Launch Benefit

May 14, 2012 (ATLANTA, GA) – Professional women from all backgrounds and ethnicity are joining forces to present Women In Leadership Development & Empowerment, LLC (WILDE) in Atlanta on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.

WILDE, LLC will hold a black-tie launch banquet at the Spring Hall (7130 Buford HWY, Atlanta, GA. 30340) hosted by 2010's Miss United States, Jessica Black. The launch is a red carpet affair that will not only introduce this emerging organization to city leaders but also honor proven leaders who continue to show a commitment to improving the lives of individuals and the community in general. Renee Knorr (19th Hole Magazine), Deborah Anglin (Hearts To Nourish Hope, Inc.), Sylvia Webb (40 Girls & Some Shoes) and Donna Davidson (Easter Seals North Georgia) are among the prestigious names to be honored with a "Leadership & Service" Award for their dedication to the community.

Guests will also experience fantastic food, beverages, giveaways, and an appearance by former Law Professor Dr. Nicoline Ambe who will deliver an inspiring and empowering address on "Raising the Next Generation of Women Leaders."

WILDE is a community based organization of women from diversified professions and ethnicity whose goals are to promote better homes, workforces and communities through outreach, volunteer, mentorship programs, networking mixers, and women empowerment and development conferences.

WILDE's mission is to empower a new generation of women ready to take up leadership roles in the workplace, promote community development, and enhance interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships while building self-esteem and overall appearance.

The WILDE launch is sponsored by Arik Air, Aretha Makia Scholarship Fund, 2C Africa, Askwinifred.com, FACE2FACE Africa, Yemi Thompson Photography and FlyVizion DJ. Proceeds from tickets sales will support WILDE's charity projects, the Easter Seals North Georgia and 40 Girls & Some Shoes.

 

Sandra Appiah

Sandra Appiah is the Chief Operating Officer at Face2Face Africa. She graduated with honors (Summa Cum laude) from the Newhouse School of public communications (Syracuse University, NY) and spent a lot of time in the media industry working with companies such as the New York Times, HBO, and MTV. An avid believer in Africa with an interest in showcasing the glory of the continent, Ms. Appiah is also host of “The Sandra Appiah Show”, an inspirational talk show that chronicles the journeys of Africa’s movers & shakers. Sandra has been listed in Forbes 30 Under 30: Africa’s Best Young Entrepreneurs in 2013. With an incandescent passion matched only by her abundant ambition and prodigious talent, Ms. Appiah has been at the forefront of the mission for this generation of Africans to seize control of tools by which Africa's narrative is curated, crafted, and presented to the wider world.
