OnlyFans model called Nigerian-American boyfriend N-word before fatally stabbing him: report

Courtney Clenney, the OnlyFans model accused of killing her Nigerian-American boyfriend, is said to have called her deceased partner the N-word in one of her verbal outbursts that he recorded some months before she fatally stabbed him, TMZ reported.

As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, Clenney fatally stabbed Christian Obumseli during a domestic dispute at their luxury apartment in Miami on April 3. Prior to his killing, Obumseli had been using his cell phone to record his partner’s verbal outbursts. Police have since obtained those recordings from the deceased man’s phone, and they’ll be presented as evidence in Clenney’s murder case.

In one of the verbal altercations, Clenney is heard subjecting Obumseli to racial slurs while she yells and also curses at him for not informing her that he said hello to a lady. A voice appearing to be Obumseli’s is heard apologizing as Clenney calls him the N-word on multiple occasions.

In another audio recording, Clenney is heard yelling at Obumseli and telling him to “man up, bitch.” She also threatens to physically attack him as she orders him to locate and charge her phone.

Two days prior to the fatal incident, police were called to the couple’s apartment after Clenney claimed Obumseli tried to assault her. Clenney, who looked visibly upset at a certain point, asked for a restraining order against her boyfriend. She fatally stabbed him two days later, officials said.

In the wake of the fatal incident, Clenney flew to Hawaii. Her lawyer, Frank Prieto, claimed she had gone to a rehabilitation center on the island to seek treatment for substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder. Authorities arrested her in Hawaii on August 10 and extradited her to Miami. She has since been charged with second-degree murder.

And though Clenney’s attorney also claims she acted in self-defense, Obumseli’s family said they are convinced he did not pose a threat.

Responding to the audio recordings, Prieto told TMZ that the “evidence makes it very clear the two were in a toxic and dysfunctional relationship, from which Courtney had asked for help from both police and her family to leave.”

“She’s not going to trial for her lifestyle, her previous arguments, or recorded rants. She is going to trial for defending herself against a violent struggle with her ex-boyfriend for which she feared for her life; Courtney is a victim of domestic abuse,” Prieto added.

“Snapshots of ‘evidence’ without any context will prevent our client from receiving a fair trial, where the evidence will show that Courtney acted in self-defense.”
