In 2019, the global black community had to say goodbye to some of its illustrious brothers and sisters. As inevitable as the finality of life is, the pain of loss will be preserved in the hearts of all those who loved these wonderful people.
Those we wish to remind ourselves of are those who were involved in the service of their community and beyond, perpetuating the goodness of humankind.
Their prominence was not simply because they were famous but also because of what came of their works.
This list is in essence, a difficult one to make. So many fall within this category but we would like to believe our shortlist encompasses the point quite well.
