You can call them the top black fashion icons at the moment as after making waves in recent years in almost every major catwalk show, they are dominating the Model of the Year category at the forthcoming British Fashion Awards which announced its nominees on Tuesday.
This year’s ceremony, which is in partnership with Swarovski will take place on December 10 at London’s Royal Albert Hall and will recognize each and every nominee for their “creative excellence and innovation,” the organisers have said.
This is not the first time that black models have been in the majority or won the Model of the Year category as Ghanaian-British supermodel, Adwoa Aboah last year took home the title while Jourdan Dunn won the category in 2015.
