A Jamaican family currently living in Wuhan, China
A Jamaican family currently living in Wuhan, China, has just given us a ray of hope amid the fears of coronavirus.
The Shirley family, in a video shared by Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holmes, tells the world about its experience in a city that has been on lockdown for the past two months and how each member of the family is practicing good hygiene habits to protect against the virus.
Coronavirus, officially known as COVID_19, has killed more than 7,000 people and affected over 180,000 worldwide since it emerged last December in Wuhan, China.
Reports say that at the height of the crisis in China, the country was recording more than 3,000 infections a day.
But life is now returning to normal in the country as coronavirus outbreak slows and the Shirley family of four is hopeful that things will get better.
“We want you to know that, in spite of the worldwide pandemic of the coronavirus, there is light of the end of the tunnel and there is hope,” says Aileen Shirley in the video with her husband Devon and two sons, Cruz and Chase.
The family also asked all, particularly those in Jamaica where 13 cases have been recorded, to avoid spreading incorrect information.
