Anne Kansiime, Uganda
Widely referred to as East Africa’s “Queen of comedy”, Kansiime began as a YouTube celebrity in her home country Uganda. She is best known for her TV show, “Don’t Mess with Kansiime,” and has since transformed into an international star.
Kansiime has picked up several awards including Teeniez Funniest Comedian (2016), the African Entertainment Award for Best Comedian (2015), and Rising Star Comedian of the Year (2015). Born in 1987 in Kabale, Uganda, Anne Kansiime has rapidly become one of the most-celebrated female comedians in Africa.
