Injera
Injera refers to bread, utensil and plate that forms the foundation of almost every Ethiopian food. The flatbread is super tangy, and it is made with super grain teff that has a spongy feel that absorbs flavor so beautifully.
Most meals are served on a large circular injera with a colorful palette delicious curry-like stews, fresh and sautéed vegetables.
Ethiopia is made up of over 80 ethnic groups and injera bridges the gap between all these groups. Whenever injera is served it arouses a sense of communal feeling as everyone gathers around the same flatbread sharing away.
