US-Africa Economic Meeting

The first US-Africa Economic Meetings is scheduled in New York City, Dodge Grace hall, Teachers College, Columbia University on Friday, November 18th, 2011 from 11AM to 3 PM. This forum will bring together business leaders, college students, the civil society, decision-makers, American chambers of commerce networks, students of business schools and non-governmental organizations in the effort to lay the ground for actions able to trigger a sustainable economic partnership between the United States and African Countries.

The theme of the 2011 US-Africa Economic Meeting is “Engaging the African Diaspora for the AGOA and investments in Africa”. Speakers are experts from private and public sectors as well as scholars from reputable academic institutions from the United States and African Countries. This edition is focused on the countries of Central Africa. However many other Africans will attend the forum and participate in programs and activities.

The US-Africa Economic Meeting is organized by US Africa Synergy, the organization that champions sustainable partnerships between the United States and Africa to enable economic, cultural, and social exchanges among Africans and Americans.
