When Beauty Meets Culture, It Paves The Way for a Dynamic Show!

Face of Africa USA presents Miss Face of Africa Texas 2012 Pageant Competition in Dallas, TX

June 7, 2012—Join us to witness our second annual Miss Face of Africa Texas 2012 Pageant competition. This year’s event will be held at the prestigious Black Academy of Arts & Letters on July 7, 2012 where our lovely 14 candidates representing the diverse beauty of the African continent will be competing for the title and crown. Doors will open at  6:00pm, show  will start promptly at 7:00pm. This year’s winner will not only receive scholarship funds towards her education, but also a one year modeling contract with Women's Board Model Management and a trip to any West African Destination via Arik Air.


Face of Africa USA's primary focus is to expose young African men/women to the diverse cultures of Africa. We strive to teach how to positively manage certain issues by representing Africans of this generation who will be confident, ambitious and empowered with a sense of responsibility, We promote education and seek global advancement of all young African men/women thru pageantry.

Come witness the explosion of African culture subtly masked in beauty and poise by the ladies who will be showcased in 5 main categories: African Attire, Swim Wear, Talent, Evening Gown and Q&A.

This year’s judges are Ms. Janet Konditi, Dean of Northwood University, Mrs. Norma Matthews, President of Peacemakers Inc, Mr. Fredy Muks, Vice-President of USA Africa Superstars and Eric Ganison, CEO of Women's Board Model Management.

Special guests include Ghanaian actress Mrs. Juliet Ibrahim who is considered the "fresh face" of Gollywood and has been featured in over 28 films.

Exquisitely prepared to meet your acquaintance will be various works of performance arts, outstanding dance choreography from Genna Mbange Ngaaje, fashion that is a testimony of culture, and finally the lovely 14 contestants who have sacrificed everything to humbly represent the centuries of African culture.

Sandra Appiah

Sandra Appiah is the Chief Operating Officer at Face2Face Africa. She graduated with honors (Summa Cum laude) from the Newhouse School of public communications (Syracuse University, NY) and spent a lot of time in the media industry working with companies such as the New York Times, HBO, and MTV. An avid believer in Africa with an interest in showcasing the glory of the continent, Ms. Appiah is also host of “The Sandra Appiah Show”, an inspirational talk show that chronicles the journeys of Africa’s movers & shakers. Sandra has been listed in Forbes 30 Under 30: Africa’s Best Young Entrepreneurs in 2013. With an incandescent passion matched only by her abundant ambition and prodigious talent, Ms. Appiah has been at the forefront of the mission for this generation of Africans to seize control of tools by which Africa's narrative is curated, crafted, and presented to the wider world.
