Earlier this month, Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe and his wife were openly mocked as the striking events leading to the resignation of the former president played out on stage.
The 94-year-old Mugabe, who was hitherto feared and revered, has since become a target of ridicule.
What is worrying is that Mugabe is not only being mocked by his country people but by his own blood as well.
In a viral video, Mugabe’s nephew, Leo Mugabe, is seen trying to joke about the events that resulted in his uncle’s ousting in November 2017.
Leo, the former chairperson of the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) tells his uncle that he was also removed from the office through a ‘coup’.
While people in the video laughed at Leo’s joke, Mugabe appeared disinterested and was quite unimpressed.
