Outel Bono
Outel Bono was a Chadian politician and medical doctor born in 1934.
Bono attempted to form a new political party named Mouvement Démocratique de Rénovation Tchadienne (MDRT).
He also exposed bureaucracy between French big whigs and African leaders; because of which the term “Françafrique” was formed.
Bono was shot twice as he entered his vehicle in France on August 26, 1973.
It was found that his alleged killer was a man Jacques Bocquel; acting on the orders of the French aid to President Tombalbaye, Camille Gourvenec.
