As the Ebola epidemic is becoming more controlled, there is little being done to further educate and provide for those left with nothing in the wake of this deadly virus. To bring awareness to this issue, Appiah has teamed up with Ghanaian musician/producer BClay to be the (unheard) voice of the Ebola victims.
Abena Appiah, Miss Universe Ghana 2014, is a Ghanaian born model, singer/songwriter, guitarist, actress, and philanthropist. Abena currently studies Fashion at Radford University
The Ebola campaign for West Africa is a joint strategic partnership between New Generation for Africa Foundation and the Miss Universe Ghana women empowerment program that aims to provide effective early preventative intervention for Ebola through education, delivering expert training, and minimizing the spread of incorrect information to vulnerable women and children in the affected areas and, most importantly, helping to equip them with the necessary tools, such as clothing, food, shelter, and work skills to aid in their integration back in to society.
Proceeds from the single, which is available for download on iTunes, will go to the Ebola campaign for West Africa.
