Black couple’s online academy is the first to be accredited for non-human AI instructors

According to Yahoo Finance, the global eLearning market is expected to reach $1.72 trillion by 2026. This is supported by the fact that the evolving EduTech space and online learning are not only the largest but the fastest-growing method for modern learners.

This sector’s potential attracted DeMario and Dawn Nicole McIlwain to create their own online learning platform currently rivaling the best in the world. They are the founders of Skilldora, an Ed-Tech startup based in Fort Mill, South Carolina, known for its modernized app-based eLearning community.

The black-led startup is the first all-A.I. online learning company that employs A.I. in every aspect of its business and platform, which has now been accredited by CPD Standards Office – a world-leading CPD Accreditation Body located in Staines, England, according to Black Business. The accreditation also recognizes the effectiveness and quality of the courses taught by Skilldora’s AI Avatar Instructors, defined as digital humans who are programmed to teach courses of all types.

“We are thrilled to be the first AI EdTech platform to receive accreditation for certified professional development courses taught by AI Avatar Instructors,” said DeMario, according to Black Business.

DeMario, who is the CEO and co-founder of the company, adds that the recognition is a validation of the hard work and dedication of their team in creating a platform that provides students with a unique and personalized learning experience.

The AI teachers at Skilldora can process advanced natural language, and are also equipped with machine learning capabilities, “allowing them to be relatable, provide social language patterns and recap rounds to have learners focus on the most important aspects of the content.”

“At Skilldora, we believe the future of education lies in the integration of technology and AI. This accreditation is a major step in that direction, and we are excited to continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in the field of education,” added Dawn Nicole, who is the COO and co-founder of the company.

Meanwhile, plans to launch its first accredited online certification program taught by an AI Instructor entitled, AI Essentials Certification (AIEC): Understanding Artificial Intelligence in a Modern World! is underway

The program is designed to equip learners with a holistic understanding of artificial intelligence and its many applications in today’s world, a serendipitous example of Skilldora’s own model which teaches by doing.

According to Black Business, through this online certification program, learners will earn a certificate in Artificial Intelligence Essentials and also get 4 Continuing Professional Development credits or CPDs. The program will also afford learners the opportunity to experience the real-world impacts of how AI intersects with education taking full advantage of interactive and engaging activities along the way.
