We are in the third quarter of the year and the entertainment industry in Africa has seen some major collaborations with music superstars across the globe. This year has witnessed sporadic growth for some artistes while others are gradually kicking it off for the December festivities.

Off the back of a successful 2018, major players are still eyeing the opportunity to attain that global status, for some, like Nigeria’s Davido, he is relishing the opportunity to make his first billion dollars.

Since the turn of the year, Nigerian artist Tiwa Savage has signed a global recording deal with Universal Music Group, Beyoncé featured top African acts in her The Lion King; The Gift Album, Davido inked a collaboration with Chris Brown, Stonebwoy landed a major collaboration with Jamaican reggae and dancehall singer Beenie Man, two Africans performed at one of the world’s biggest music festivals, Coachella, while Burna Boy claimed the coveted 2019 BET Best International Act.

The music industry in Africa is growing progressively and so is the quality of the music videos.
