Despite the Lakers’ season opener loss to the Nuggets, LeBron James kicked off his 21st NBA season with a stylish entrance. The superstar made a grand arrival at Denver’s Ball Arena on Tuesday, sporting a Louis Vuitton ensemble that came with a price tag of approximately $28,000.
James donned a high-priced Louis Vuitton outfit, featuring items from the upcoming SS24 Collection Essentials, such as the “Damoflage” jacket and a green Speedy bag. This ensemble is fitting for his role as the star of Pharrell’s next Louis Vuitton campaign. James made his debut on Louis Vuitton billboards in New York on October 24.
When he entered the arena, he exuded a degree of coolness and focus as photographers took varied pictures of him. His Louis Vuitton ensemble included the custom Damoflage tweed collarless jacket valued at approximately $5,000, black trousers worth $1,200, and black derby shoes priced at about $1,250.
He accessorized with black shades, Beats headphones, and a green leather Speedy bag hanging over his shoulders, with a substantial price tag of $11,000. In total, his outfit was estimated to be nearly $28,000, as reported by CBS Sports.
James, a global superstar, has a strong appeal to luxury brands, as demonstrated by his Louis Vuitton outfit. He has previously sported exclusive items like Tiffany & Co. Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.
Despite the Lakers starting the season with a 0-1 record, James displayed a solid performance in Tuesday’s game, contributing 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. At the age of 38, he continues to be one of the most formidable players on the court, notably surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record last season. James and the Lakers are gearing up for their home opener against the Suns on Thursday at 10 p.m. ET.
James is entering the 21st NBA season after earlier concerns at the 2023 ESPY Awards in July that he was heading for retirement. This comes on the heels of uncertainty he expressed about continuing his NBA career. But he clarified his position, emphasizing his commitment to the game.
James stated that as long as he can give his all on the court without “cheating the game,” he will keep playing. He assured his fans that the day he can’t fully contribute to the game is not today, leaving the audience in suspense.
