SleepOut Announces ‘Zanzibar to Lagos African Tour’

SleepOut is a high-end AirBnB, where people can rent our lodging for Africa and the Middle East. For example, if you are Interested in staying in a castle in Nigeria, you can do so for $1,000 USD/night, or perhaps you’re looking for a quiet, eclectic beach house in Zanzibar, You can find that too. Billing itself as the African accommodation marketplace, SleepOut has been making waves on the startup scene and recently announced a “Zanzibar to Lagos African Tour,” beginning in June on the Indian Ocean island of Zanzibar.

The executive team led by CEO Johann Jenson will be joined by travel photographers and local accommodation experts in order to visit the top-10 SleepOut destinations in Sub-Saharan Africa over a 12-week period.

“In September 2013, SleepOut.com was available in only 5 countries. Today, 10 months down the line, we now work with hosts in 56 countries. We feel that it is very important that we spend time working closely with the SleepOut community to better understand how we can improve the user experience to make accommodation booking on the continent even easier,” said Jenson.

Major stops along the tour include Dar es Salaam, Lusaka, Harare, Johannesburg, Durban, and Lagos. “From castles in Kenya to houseboats in Zimbabwe, the ‘SleepOut from Zanzibar to Lagos Tour’ is all about spending more time with the hosts and travelers that make SleepOut a truly unique and made-in-Africa product,” added Jenson.
