Snoop Dogg’s wife Shante Broadus has expanded her business portfolio after opening a strip club in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, Shante opened the “Player’s Club” under her Boss Lady Entertainment company.
The strip club, which is located in downtown Los Angeles, is said to have hosted a private party during its opening on Wednesday. The celebrities on the guest list included Tiffany Haddish, Too $hort, Big Boy and Cedric the Entertainer. DJ Drama and DJ Sky High Baby were also booked to entertain the guests.
Shante reportedly drew inspiration from Ice Cube’s 1998 “Player’s Club” movie to name her new establishment. That was the first movie the legendary West Coast rapper and actor directed.
“I am thrilled to introduce the Players Club to Los Angeles,” Shante said in a press release, per Complex. “This club is more than just a venue; it’s a celebration of empowerment, beauty, and entrepreneurship, providing a space where everyone can feel like a boss.”
The Player’s Club in a statement is described as Los Angeles’ “newest and most exclusive” establishment for exotic dancing that is “poised to redefine luxury and liberation in the city’s nightlife scene.”
Prior to its opening, the Player’s Club organized an audition event for dancers during the Memorial Day holiday. Shante’s latest project adds up to her other business endeavors. In 2021, her husband Snoop Dogg appointed her as his official manager.
In the statement to announce her appointment, Shante was described as a “serial entrepreneur and philanthropist” who oversees Boss Lady Entertainment (BLE) and “began her career by managing the early part” of her husband’s career.
“Shante has been guiding my career behind the scenes from day one,” Snoop said about his decision. “She has always been my final gut check with all my decisions, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. I am grateful to have her as my official manager, helping to build the Snoop Dogg empire together.”
