After two days of fighting, the Chadian military reportedly recovered the Nigerian town of Malumfatori from Islamic terrorists Boko Haram, according to the BBC.

Chad has been called on by both Nigeria and Cameroon to fight the militant sect that has killed thousands and kidnapped hundreds as it expands its caliphate throughout northeastern Nigeria.
This week, the Chadian military reportedly crossed Lake Chad on the ground while simultaneously waging a deadly attack in the air.
“People who fled the area told the BBC they had seen military planes bombing the town, which is on the shores of Lake Chad.
“Some of those who left the town during the fighting are reported to have crossed into Niger.”
On Friday, the African Union heads of state will meet to specifically discuss Boko Haram and Al Shabaab, yet another Islamic militant sect based in Somalia that pledges its loyalty to al Qaeda and terrorizes both Somalians and Kenyans. Originally, the meeting was to focus on women’s empowerment, among other issues.
Of the upcoming meeting, Ghanaian President John Mahama has said the leaders must produce a “specific plan of action” to “deal permanently” with Boko Haram.
Last week, Boko Haram made more headlines with its failed attack on Borno state capital Maiduguri. Days earlier, Boko Haram leader Abubaker Shekau also claimed responsibility for the attack on Baga, where about 2,000 women, children, and the elderly were massacred, according to Amnesty International. The bloodthirsty leader also threatened to “annihilate” Nigeria.
