Africa’s football clubs may not be going through the best of times, largely due to recent administration and corruption issues that have plagued the sports on the continent. In spite of these difficulties, there is no denying the fact that the continent has produced talented players who are doing so well in Europe top leagues as compared to players from South America, Asia, and North America.
From the likes of Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, Senegal’s Sadio Mane to Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, these players could be placed among the most valuable players in the world.
Interestingly, most of these African football geniuses started out in clubs of their home countries. These African clubs, most of them established even before countries on the continent gained independence, are still in existence and doing tremendously well.
